Dennis Rosetta And his son both took 8-point bucks

Dennis Rosetta and his brother each brought his son to hunt at Blackwell Bend for the final weekend of the Hunting Season and all four were successful. Dennis and his son each took an 8-point buck. His brother and nephew took a 7 point and a doe.

Bill (Shine) Gothard - 7-point - 01/29/10

Shine was one of six deer hunters who gathered at Blackwell Bend to end the Alabama Deer Hunting Season and took a 7-point buck with his bow & arrow on Jan. 29th, 2010. Shine is the inventor and manufacturer of Shine’s White Oak Acorn Scent.

Marty Reddell took this Beautiful 10-point whitetail buck with his Bow & Arrow on Jan. 28th, 2010 at Blackwell Bend while using Shine’s White Oak Acorn Scent as a cover-up and attractant.

Blackwell Bend Hunting Lodge hosted 6 hunters for the end of the Alabama Deer Hunting Season and they all took a deer home. 2 Brothers and their 2 sons were all successful, another took a Beautiful 10-point buck and “Shine” took a 7-point. Each will featured in a post to follow this week.

Jim Raines - 8 point - 01/21/2010

Jim Raines from Georgia came to Blackwell Bend Hunting Lodge with some friends on a 3-day hunt looking to take home a trophy. Little did he know his hunt would end early. In the first hour of his hunt on Jan. 21st, 2010 he spotted and took this 8-point Whitetail. Having got what he came for and not wanting to harvest any does, his hunt was over almost before it started. Luckily he had access to some other land in the area and was able to hunt more while his friends finished up at Blackwell Bend.

Kelly Burke and two hunters in his group that came from Oklahoma last week went home with trophies. One 7-point, One 8-point, and One 9-point.

Blackwell Bend Hunting Lodge was hosting a large group of hunters from Oklahoma and Tennessee last week when Brian Jackson from Tennessee took his first Whitetail deer, a 7-point buck on January 14th, 2010

The latest Trophy Buck taken at Blackwell Bend Hunting Lodge was this 9 point (about 120 class) on Dec. 28th, 2009 by Dennis Rosetta. He got it on one of the green fields from a ground blind. Dennis is a regular hunter at Blackwell Bend and has taken many trophies over the years. Some of which can be seen in the Trophy Gallery.
